No Brainer Thanksgiving Appetizer!
We all know Thanksgiving is a holiday all about…….. food. I personally have 3 feasts to attend this holiday weekend! While the turkey is always center stage you can’t forget about the appetizers that everyone gathers around at the beginning of the night. If you are looking to impress your family and friends with an app that doesn’t take a whole lot of effort then this cheese ball is a must! I bring this to almost every holiday, get together and dinner party and I have yet to hear a complaint. The best part is that it is so easy to make. The only criteria is that you, or whoever will be eating it, has to enjoy cheese!

Ingredients to make cheeseball:
1 container cream cheese ( you can opt for plain, jalapeno – my fave!, or herb and garlic)
1 small block of marble cheese (fully shredded)
2 sprigs of green onion
3-4 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 cup of crushed pecans OR walnuts
How to make the cheeseball
Get a large bowl and scoop the cream cheese into it. Make sure you fully shred the block of cheese and mix it into the bowl as well. I use scissors to chop up the green onion (life hack!). Then add the Worcestershire sauce.
Now there is really is no other way to mix this than to use your hands. Warning it gets a little messy but it’s all worth it in the end. So as I mentioned, use your hands to mix all of the ingredients together. Keep mixing until everything is melded together. Then form a large ball. Wash your hands.
Get a plate and pour the the crushed nuts on it. Before rolling the cheese ball in the nuts, sprinkle with the paprika so that the entire surface is coloured. Then roll it in the nuts. Let it sit in the fridge for at least a half hour before serving.
Serve the cheeseball on a platter. They go great with Triscuit Crackers or Rice Crackers.
