I think I may of found my favorite snack of the summer. Shishito peppers! They are quickly becoming the new cauliflower – making there way onto menus all over restaurants in Toronto. I made them for the first time this weekend for a girls getaway up north. Food is always a major priority for our girls weekends (as it should be). Usually our menu combines our go-to favorites (aka cheese ball) and trying out new recipes. This weekend we were eager to try shishito peppers on the BBQ. The recipe was super simple – and they were a huge hit. Find out how to make them below!

As I said on Instagram, 4 words to describe this recipe: easy, peasy, lemon squeazy! This is by far one of my favorite go to salads to make. It is perfect for lunch or to serve with dinner as a side. I love the flavors and the beans pack all the protein you need. It only requires 4 key ingredients BUT you can definitely add other ingredients to mix it up. I’ll share my suggestions below but first here’s how to make my bean medley salad.
Spring rolls are my go to whenever I am ordering Chinese food. I love those crispy little morsels! But whenever I thought about making them at home I didn’t have a deep fryer nor did I want to waste a ton of oil in a makeshift deep fryer. Luckily I did some research and learned that baked spring rolls are indeed a possibility. And holy heck they might just be the tastiest thing I’ve made since starting this blog (or at least top 10!). I tried this recipe for the first time this past weekend for a gals trip up North. Let’s just say it was certainly not my last time making them! Find the super easy and flavorful recipe below.
Spaghetti squash is the bomb diggity if you haven’t heard! It’s the perfect ingredient if you are craving pasta but looking for a lighter meal. While the cooking time may be a little daunting, it is a fairly low maintenance veggie to make. It literally does the work for you! After baking for about 40 minutes you just lightly scrape the insides with a fork and voila, spaghetti. I make spaghetti squash quite often so I’m always looking for new ingredients to combine with it. Below I am sharing my top three favorites with you so far.
Happy to say that moving went fairly smoothly this weekend. While we have a lot of unpacking to do still, one thing I’ve been thinking about a lot is some of the traditions I want to start building in our new home together. And one of those is definitely enjoying dinner together every night.
