Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times of the year. It means getting together with family, friends and most importantly good food & wine! While Turkey is usually the first thing that comes to mind when you think of this holiday (or at least it is for me) I wanted to share with you 3 recipes to make this weekend that don’t involve it. After all, you are likely going to be entertaining guests for more than one meal or you’ll be attending a family gathering that requires you to bring a dish. SO you need options!
Below I share an easy breakfast, an appetizer that is a definite crowd pleaser and a side dish that goes beyond traditional.
Let’s start with the most important meal of the day: breakfast! These egg cups are not only super easy to make but they are a great option when serving a larger group because you can make a big batch of them. The ingredients are also flexible, to make it fun you can have a little breakfast egg cup bar where you let your guests choose their ingredients.
So this recipe will totally be to blame when guests say they filled up before dins! This recipe was introduced to my friend group by a VERY GOOD FRIEND years back. I think we have all since perfected the cheeseball especially because it makes an appearance at every get-together!
Finally, we get to the side dishes, the ones that accompany the main event – Turkey! But who says they can’t be the main event too. This recipe puts a twist on your traditional Thanksgiving potato side dish and is sure to jazz up your holiday feast.
